Shift Pattern: Long days 10am-10pm This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career by taking on the role of Staff Nurse in the Surgical Assessment Unit. The Surgical Assessment Unit is a 7 bedded emergency surgical admissions unit with ambulatory area which specialises in colorectal and upper GI, urology, ENT and vascular surgery admissions. We are seeking to recruit a motivated individual to join our unit as a band 5 Staff Nurse. We are looking for an individual who will support the Ward Charge Nurse in the delivery of a patient-centered, clinically effective and dynamic service from the patient's admission assessment to discharge. You should be caring, compassionate, forward thinking, well organized and have a positive attitude towards flexibility and change. The successful applicant is required to have one year post registration experience, proven development in leadership, whilst supporting the development of the nursing services in the delivery of high quality, safe, and cost effective care to patients and their families. We are particularly interested in applicants with well-developed communication, change management and organisational skills, who have a positive attitude and who share in our vision and commitment to continuously develop and improve. This post attracts an additional payment of £1,000*, for new employees to the Trust, to be paid in 2 installments: £500 to be paid on completion of probation £500 on completion of the first 12 months employment with the Trust.’
