We are seeking a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with an interest in Fetal/Maternal Medicine and proven skills in obstetric ultrasound to join our friendly and busy team. This is a new post which has arisen following the reduction in working hours of several colleagues.  The successful candidate should have undertaken focussed training in Fetal medicine and Maternal Medicine and have suitable accreditation. You will work closely with the lead fetal medicine consultant and our specialist midwives and sonographers. You will undertake Maternal Medicine Clinics and support the current Maternal Medicine Service as well as developing this service according to your own special interest.

The post-holder will be expected to participate equally with their consultant colleagues in a 1:9 on-call rota for obstetrics and gynaecology and a 1:9 rota for delivery suite ‘hot week’. Upon the appointment of additional consultants it is anticipated that the on-call rota will change to a 1:10 pattern for both hot weeks and on call.

The contract will be for 10 PA’s in the first instance, subject to review via the job planning process.

Interviews for this post will take place on Friday 27th April 2018.
