Patient Care Co-ordinator Band 7, 24hrs per week. 2 long days, including some weekend and bank holiday working
We are looking to recruit a Band 7 Patient Care Co-ordinator to join our established team.
The successful candidate will focus on the safety of patients’ through their journey, challenging decision making where necessary and will be responsible for the robust organisation of the on call medical team. In addition it is expected that the appointee will demonstrate a good understanding of ambulatory care and are committed to supporting and taking the service forward.
This is an exciting time within Urgent Care whereby the Patient Care Co-ordinators are in a unique position to influence changes in practice and help promote and embed new ways of working. It will involve working collaboratively with nursing and medical staff across the Emergency Department and Urgent Care division.
Applicants are required to have post registration experience at Band 6 level. Managerial and leadership skills are essential as the appointee will be required to act as a resource and support the medical staff, whilst assisting the nursing team to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, and cost effective care to patients and their families.
We are particularly interested in applicants who are passionate about care delivery with well-developed communication, leadership and organisational skills, who have a positive attitude and the vision and commitment to take the provision of emergency medical care forward.
