The post is part of the new 8 Consultant on-call rota with an agreed initial job plan of 14 PAs (10 PA rota and 4 APA of which 1.5 APA is Recruitment & Retention Premium).
The department has two further Consultants/Associate Specialist providing additional clinical and administrative support. The newly refurbished and extended department and a CDU now offer modern and adequate premises.
The 1 in 7 prospective rota provides direct clinical cover in the Emergency Department between 8am and 10pm during the week and between 10am and 6pm on the weekends.
We are a Trauma Receiving Unit working closely with Addenbrooke’s MTC in Cambridge.
We are also ATLS and ALS course organisers.

All applicants are required to be a Fellow of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine and to have completed ATLS, EPALS or APLS, ALS provider, have full GMC registration and inclusion on the Specialist Register in Emergency Medicine (or within 6 months of CCT at the interview date).
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
