Applications are invited for enthusiastic, motivated and committed individuals to join our friendly and dynamic team within the Emergency Assessment Unit at Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust. Our unit has been at the forefront in improving the safety and quality of patient care within the Trust, and is looking to massively expand our capacity in providing ambulatory and short stay care. This is a Locum post pending substantive appointment.

There are currently four substantive and 2 full time locum Consultants in Acute Medicine, supported by a large and dedicated team of junior doctors in Acute Medicine.

The Trust is offering 0.5PA on top of a worked 11PA job plan, with the option of more PAs added depending on the candidate’s situation, and will be reduced appropriately for someone wishing to work 10 PAs. A further specialist interest will also be welcomed, and the sessional allocation considered in a case by case basis.

Qualifications required are MRCP or equivalent, full GMC registration and inclusion on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council in General Medicine (or within 6 months of CCT at the interview date).
