The Acute Care Common Stem (ACCS) is a programme designed to acquire competencies in 4 key acute specialties: Anaesthesia, Intensive Care Medicine, Acute Medicine and Emergency Medicine. Trainees who undergo this programme will benefit from highly specialised training which will prepare them adequately for a career in their chosen future specialty. These posts are not recognised by the Royal College for General Professional Training.
At Colchester General Hospital those on the ACCS programme will rotate through either Emergency Medicine and Acute Medicine or Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine (Critical Care).
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
